Aula was built on a simple belief: skincare should be made with integrity. We formulate, fill, and ship every product from our own laboratory. No outsourcing. No borrowed formulas. No secrets.
The philosophy
Your skin isn't the same on Tuesday as it is on Sunday. It's not the same in week two of your cycle as it is in week four, in January as it is in July, after a flight as it is after a workout. The dogma of here's our serum, use it is broken.
We make skincare as a toolkit: focused formulas designed to work together, with the guidance to use them the way a chemist would.
How we formulate
- Focused actives. Each serum is built around a clear purpose and ingredients selected for their ability to deliver it. No hiding behind proprietary blends.
- Evidence-informed concentrations. We formulate at concentrations supported by peer-reviewed research, not trace amounts chosen for the front label.
- Layerable by design. Every formula is developed with pH, texture, stability, and ingredient compatibility in mind, so your routine can adapt without unnecessary complexity.
- Made in our lab. Developed, manufactured, filled, and shipped from our cGMP-compliant facility in Buffalo, New York. The chemist who designs the formula runs the line that bottles it.
What we don't do
No fragrance for fragrance's sake. No filler botanicals featured on the front label only to appear as trace amounts on the back. No celebrity formulators. No borrowed formulas. Every product has a reason to exist, and every ingredient has a reason to be there.
